The New York Giants defeated the Dallas Cowboys 28-20 on Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The win pushed the Giants' record further along in an early but important stretch of the season. Quarterback play and a strong running game helped the offense control long stretches of the contest. The Giants built a lead in the first half and never trailed after that point. The result also snapped a short losing skid for the Giants.

Dallas mounted a rally in the second half, cutting into the deficit with a pair of scoring drives. The Giants' defense, however, came up with a critical turnover in the fourth quarter that stalled the Cowboys' momentum. That takeaway allowed the Giants offense to run additional time off the clock and seal the eight-point victory. Coaches credited the defensive line for consistent pressure throughout the afternoon.

The victory offers an early confidence boost for a Giants team still working to establish consistency this season. Beating a divisional rival like Dallas carries extra weight in the standings and in team morale. Analysts noted that special teams and red-zone execution were also improved compared with earlier games. The Giants will next turn their attention to preparing for their following opponent, hoping to build on this result. Such conference wins often factor heavily into playoff seeding discussions later in the year.
