Fed Weighs Interest Rate Hike As Trump Objects

Many people are watching the Federal Reserve, the nation's central bank. The Fed is deciding whether to raise interest rates. Interest rates affect how much it costs to borrow money for homes and cars. After a strong jobs report, some experts think the Fed may raise rates from 3.5% to 3.75%.

President Trump has publicly disagreed with a rate hike. He said the Fed should lower rates instead. Trump called the recent jobs report a great sign for the economy. The Fed's decision, expected later this month, could affect loan and credit card payments for families.
