NASA is preparing to launch its Crew-13 mission to the International Space Station. The mission is expected to lift off sometime in September. SpaceX will provide the rocket and spacecraft for the flight. Crew-13 will carry astronauts who will live and work in orbit. They will conduct science experiments and help maintain the station.
One unusual detail involves the launch pad itself. Reports say Tesla Cybertrucks will be used as support vehicles nearby. NASA has worked with SpaceX on crew launches for several years. The partnership helps NASA send astronauts to space regularly. Officials will confirm the exact launch date soon.

NASA is preparing to launch its Crew-13 mission to the International Space Station sometime in September. The mission will use a SpaceX rocket and spacecraft, continuing a partnership that dates back several years. Once in orbit, the crew will spend months conducting science experiments and helping maintain the station. Officials have not yet confirmed the exact launch date.
One unusual detail has drawn attention ahead of the launch. According to reports, Tesla Cybertrucks will serve as support vehicles near the launch pad. NASA regularly relies on private companies like SpaceX to handle crew transportation to orbit. This approach began years ago as NASA shifted away from building all of its own rockets. The station itself has hosted international crews continuously for more than two decades.
Crew-13's work will support ongoing research in areas such as biology, physics, and materials science. The findings often have uses back on Earth, from medicine to new technology. Space agencies around the world watch these missions closely for lessons about long-duration spaceflight. NASA is expected to announce a firm launch date in the coming weeks. Once scheduled, the mission will be one of the year's most closely watched launches. Families and students often follow along online as astronauts share updates from orbit. The excitement builds each time a new crew heads to the station.
