Southern Maine Eases From Summer Into Fall

Maine is easing from summer warmth into cooler fall weather. Mornings now feel crisp, while afternoons still offer some sunshine. Leaves on maple and oak trees are beginning to change color. Fall visitors often flock to Maine to see the bright foliage.

Local farms are welcoming families for apple picking and pumpkin patches. Farmers markets remain open across Southern Maine into early fall. Meteorologists say temperatures will keep dropping through the coming weeks. Residents are pulling out sweaters and preparing for shorter days.
